  1. PREPARING YOUR CAR FOR AN AUTOMATIC CAR WASH Remove Personal Items and Trash Before heading to the car wash, take a few minutes to remove any personal items and trash from your car. This not only prevents them from getting wet but also makes your car feel cleaner inside and out. Secure Loose Parts Ensure that any loose parts on your car, such as antennas, side mirrors, or trim pieces, are secured. If your car has a detachable antenna, it's best to remove it before entering the wash to prevent it from breaking. Fold In Side Mirrors Many automatic car washes recommend folding in your side mirrors to avoid any potential damage. Check your car's manual to see if the mirrors can be folded in manually or if there's a button to do it electronically. Check Windows and Sunroof Make sure all windows and the sunroof are completely closed to prevent water from getting inside the car. Even a small gap can lead to a wet interior.
