  1. Knowing the Key Differences between Normal Shared Hosting and VPS Hosting In USA There is always a confusion among the users regarding a shared hosting and VPS hosting systems. To make the matter easy, let us imagine us being young and free from all troubles again, and sitting on our dinner table waiting for the yummy and freshly baked cake to be served. Now, a shared server is something like a fully baked cake kept on the table, and you and your siblings are given a free rein on how much each one of you will eat. Here, if you remember correctly, the competition will be quite tough and nasty, with each trying to claim the biggest piece of cake, while arguing that they have not done so in reality. A VPS hosting, on the other hand, is something quite different. Here, your mother divides equal portions of cake between you and your siblings, thereby stopping any dispute in question. One fixed portion of cake is cut out for each one of you to enjoy individually without any arguments. So, while a shared hosting involved sharing space rented out by the service provider, the VPS hosting is when the service provider divides the same space amongst each one of you. The amount of space provided depends upon your requirements, and how much you are ready to pay. Although the VPS hosting will cost you more, it can offer higher security, faster speed and website processing and higher performance. VPS hosting also can be scaled according to your requirements. In shared hosting, however, you will not have these options, even though it can work out to be more economical. The selection between the two, therefore, is left to you and your business requirements.
