The Best Of Gili Islands Any of the most popular tourism destinations for visitors searching for an isolated encounter with a quiet sense of escapade are the Gili Islands. Gili, meaning tiny islands, consists of three small islands that reach away from the mainland of Lombok like three dots. Gili Trawangan, Gili Breeze, and Gili Meno are these. Life on the island, with most residents occupying Trawangan, which is the furthest from the mainland, is very laid back. It is recognized as Party Island as well and the name says it all. Surrounded by sparkling blue seas, the islands are packed with an infinite range of aquatic species reaching into the deep oceans. The water is surrounded by white sandy beaches that offer the best spots for sunbathing during the day and the best spots for sunset during the evenings. Do you want to learn more? Owing to its near proximity to the Lombok mainland, the island of Gili Air was the first to have a resident settlement. It is the smallest of the three and is located between the mainland of Lombok and the island of Gili Meno. The latter is the second largest in size and is situated between Gili Air island and Party Island. With a rich sense of respect for the tourism, customs and cultures of the natives, the atmosphere in Meno is very mellow. The islands are car-free and the serenity of minimal modernity is very beautiful. Small tents serving as residences, restaurants and beach resorts define them. Compared to Meno and Air, Trawangan has a quicker growth speed. All and all, with their own sense of beauty and charisma, the Gili Islands are lucky. Accommodations range, from one night rooms to back-packer, trendy boutique rooms and bungalows, hotels and villas. There are zero hotels with high rises and even zero tour buses. Transport to and from the islands is restricted to swift boat trips around the sea and there is plenty to choose from for tourists. There are nearby charter boats for sale. In general, visitors and travelers may even go for the twice-daily boat ride that goes per person for about Rp 20,000. The desire to swim around the islands can be very strong at times, but the last thing in mind should be this. Unpredictable tides and currents will land an individual in a very deep sea condition, and there have been records of cases of dead swimmers in the past. When on the Gili Islands, there is plenty to do, share, carry away and hold. For a two or three-day tour of the tourist haven on the Bali-Lombok Bay, the Gili Island package might be a smart option.
