  3. Overview Neurostimulation system is a system which electrically activates neurons in the body and helps in blocking pain signals going to brain. Different type of neurostimulation are available. Deep brain stimulation (DBS) inactivates the part of brain which cause Parkinson’s disease whereas vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) provides intermittent electrical stimulation to vagus nerve and treat epileptic seizures. Neurostimulation system having 3 main parts: Pulse generator or Neurostimulator, Lead, electrode.
