Indulged Traveler Barbara Kingstone has been everywhere! On the Indulged Traveler, she shares her best travel tips for Baby Boomer and Senior Travel. Barbara’s Travel Tips When traveling on line, there are tips after tips on various aspects. If you followed all of them, you’d never leave you hotel room, or in some cases never leave home. So take these travel suggestions slowly and just digest what is humanly possible for the time being and little by little. No jeans on long hauls. they are just aren’t comfortable especially if they are tight fitting. Try bending your legs or even sitting on them for a few minutes. Jeans are your best friend on land but not in the lofty clouds.
Shawls have so many uses. Firstly to keep you warm, if the plane gets cold, then great as a pillow, and once landed it a wonderful wrap for day to night. Note that even though the flight blankets come neatly wrapped and folded into a plastic bag, there is no telling when it was last laundered. Keep those for waist down and use your own near your face. Truth be told, those blankets haven’t seen the inside of a washing machine in many trips. Wear sun glasses when possible.Don’t make eye contact unless you are interested in adventure. And the best person for advice, is always the concierge. The Magical Sights And Splendour Of The Toe Of Sicily You can’t have just one cannolo so it is often referred to in the plural, cannoli. Let me explain this most popular dessert in Sicily, now being touted as the dessert du jour internationally. Its fabulous history has always been on my bucket list and the lifting of travel restrictions put it at the top. It is a shame Sicily is only a brief stop on some Mediterranean cruises. It is worth a detour for at least a week. Fish, freshly caught each morning, is abundant being on the Mediterranean Sea. There are clams, mussels, sea bass, tuna, red prawn, sardines, squid, to name a few. Veggies, aubergine, zucchini, tomatoes, garlic, onions are locally grown. And don’t miss tasting the delicious tarocca blood oranges. Email: BK@barbara3.com Visit us at https://indulgedtraveler.com/
