  1. Mission briefing

  2. It started on January 15, 2018 And persisted…

  3. At first, we were uncertain what to make of it

  4. But then we broke the code

  5. A greeting from outer space

  6. A unit was formed under NASA to investigate They planned to keep it a secret, but failed

  7. When the news broke The whole world went into a frenzy

  8. People felt united under a common cause They saw the future at hand

  9. The unit went public and was renamed the Deep Signal Research and Response Centre

  10. We tracked the signal

  11. Through the Orion arm

  12. Towards the core of our universe Note: In reality that would be 6.500-10.000 light years

  13. Into the Carina Nebula

  14. Carina 4269 Distance from Sun approximately 212 light years

  15. On November 28, 2019, at 13:45:66 the signal went cold.

  16. By then, the Deep Signal Program had already started

  17. On the surface the program was mainly aimed at building a spacecraft

  18. The crew would be compromised out of members of NASA and the European Space Agency

  19. In actuality, we began monitoring and training promising youngsters

  20. At some point in their academical or military careers we invited them officially to the program

  21. And gave them the best preparation possible

  22. To make the world’s most skilled crew

  23. And all the while, we were improving our ships

  27. You will be taking off from Lunar One at 07:21 on the 21st of July, 2027

  28. We will stay in contact with you as long as possible. However, the time difference will become a hindrance within 5 weeks of departure. We, the DSRRC and the Deep Signal Program, and the people of Earth, can only wish you luck
