Great Way to Make Money Online I have really fond memories of my time at university. It can be pretty overwhelming because for many of us our time in college is our first time in life managing our own bills and navigating our way through the adult world. I remember being so frugal during my time at university, that I was literally pinching pennies. These days there are a bunch of ways to make extra money while at college. Extra income can make the difference between graduating with a huge student debt, or something more manageable. Here is the Great Ways to Make Money Online while studying at college: 1. Work Online It’s no surprise I love working online. I would have loved to work part time online while studying at university. The great thing about working online is usually you can find clients with flexible work hours, meaning you can easily fit it around your busy college schedule or work during gaps between classes. New to freelancing? Check out my guide on how to get more freelancing clients to help you get started. There are tons of things you can do online, if you have a talent or an interest in learning more about the subject. Starting as a virtual assistant, freelance writer, social media manager or editor are all great options. If you have no experience in any of these fields, there’s ample free resources online that you can use to self educate yourself. It’s a great side hustle that can be a great way to make extra income. 2. Work as a Tutor If you’re further along than your first year, you can look into tutoring opportunities around your university. It’s a great way to meet new people, help out students and get a great reference on your CV. Usually the pay is a bit higher than you would find for other jobs for undergraduates and the best part is you won’t have to commute from university to get to work! Ask around at the end of the academic year for opportunities for the following year, or at the start of semester. Talking directly with other tutors or lecturers to find out opportunities is a great way to ensure you find out about them before they’re publicly advertised. 3. Sell Old Clothes This won’t be an ongoing opportunity, but chances are you have odd clothes that you’re no longer using. Why not list them on EBay or local sites to get rid of them and make some extra cash. It’s much better than leaving them in your closet to be eaten by moths! 4. Sell Last Semesters Books If you have some books from last year you’ll no longer need, why not sell them? I personally bought all my books secondhand, anyway, so when I got around to selling them I could basically sell them for the same price I paid. It was amazing and a nice little cash injection at the beginning of the academic year. 5. Apply for Scholarships
Most people don’t apply for scholarships because they think their grades aren’t good enough, but often so few people apply for certain scholarships that the judges only have one or two applicants to choose from. Scholarships are a great way to reduce your student loans and many of them allow you to have some extra cash in your pocket to cover the expenses of being at college. The most important thing to do when applying for a scholarship is to apply early, ensuring you don’t miss out for the opportunity. The type of scholarships available to you will depend on where you are studying, what you are studying, and some personal factors may come in to play as well. Your college should have information about what scholarships you may be eligible for, so check in with them to find out how you can make extra money while at college with scholarships.
