  1. Four Reasons Why Industrial Water Treatment is Crucial By JNB Labs

  2. Smooth industrial processes are crucial for the success of an industry. However, at times, these processes are affected by issues of oxidation, accumulation of wastes, and organic and inorganic fouling. This, particularly, happens with water-based industrial processes, which causes a significant increase in the operating costs and other risks.

  3. However, it is possible to keep the operating costs and other risks low if an industry implements and executes a thorough water treatment While water treatment reduces hazards and operating costs, it is effective in managing following four issues too:

  4. Scaling Water treatment is essential to improve water-based industrial processes, which are cooling, heating, cleaning, rinsing and processing. However, at times, the mineral salts in water form salt deposits and build up around surfaces of the system. As they precipitate and accumulate, they lead to a problem called scaling. Scaling also reduces the width of pipes and narrows them. Consequently, more energy is required to pump the water through these pipes. However, effective water treatment prevents the scaling issue and allows constant flow of water through the pipes.

  5. Corrosion While there is an issue of scaling, there is a hazard of corrosion too. When metal corrodes, it impairs the plant equipment and affects its functioning too. Another risk associated with corrosion is the leakage, which could lead to failures and disasters. A water treatment, however, could save the plant equipment from corrosion or, at least, prevent oxidation. Thus, if your plant is in New Jersey, get the services of companies which specialize in industrial water treatment.

  6. Microbes, Legionella, & Fouling The untreated cooling water allows microbes to thrive and increases the risk of fouling. An untreated cooling water is full of organic nutrients and warm too. Since cooling towers are efficient air scrubbers, they allow microbes and bacteria to settle and accumulate. Leaving water untreated could cause several diseases since untreated cooling water implies dust, grass, flies, and fungus. To minimize the growth of bacteria and germs, it is, therefore, important to execute water treatment and purify the industrial water.

  7. Wastewater’s Disposal

  8. Industries processes release huge amount of waste and wastewater is one of the major problems rather challenges. It is because the disposal of residual wastewaters entails high costs. However, costs don’t matter keeping in mind the health and safety of people. While many industries and plants have onsite facilities to purify wastewater, it is mandatory for every industry, be a petroleum refinery or a chemical plant, to implement water treatment and execute it as a major responsibility. While you consult a company regarding water treatment, it is significant to make sure that it provides an effective treatment because a poor water treatment will be of no use and can cause defective products and affect quality of water as well.
