  2. Toshiba Support Explains You How To Adjust Touchpad Settings Many times, Toshiba laptop users experience a problem related to touchpad sensitivity. This becomes a major problem when a user is not in habit of using mouse. In this situation, user needs an immediate solution to continue the work on the laptop.

Follow the given steps to resolve this problem: • Go to the Start button and then click on Control Panel from the available options shown on the screen. • Now, type Mouse in the top right search box. Hit Enter key to see the results. • Click on Mouse from the results to appear the Mouse Properties dialog box on the screen.  • Next, you have to move to Pointer Options tab to continue the process. • Navigate to the Motion section and then move to the Pointer Speed and change it by adjusting the slider to make changes on the touchpad sensitivity.  • If you move the slider towards right, it increases the speed of the cursor and if you move it towards left then it slows the speed of the cursor.

  4. Now, go to the box stated as “Enhance Pointer Precision” to enable this option. • Thereafter, adjust the cursor visibility settings according to your requirement. These options include appearance of cursor trails, the ability to hide the cursor while typing and by pressing the Ctrl key. • Now, you have to select OK button to close the Mouse Properties dialog box. The Control Panel window will still appear on the screen. • Now, check the changes made in the settings. Check the speed and sensitivity of the touchpad of your Toshiba laptop. If the results are not satisfactory, go to the Mouse Properties dialog box and adjust the settings to make further changes.
