Early treatment when growth first appears will reduce the amount of Cutrine­plus Liquid you will need, for season long control.  Early season treatment will also reduce the amount of dead growth. Control will last for several weeks to several months depending on type of algae and local conditions. Several applications will typically be required to maintain season long control on Planktonic and Filamentous Algae.  Retreat as new growth begins to appear. Allow 1 to 2 weeks between consecutive treatments. Use Cutrine­Plus Liquid to economically treat surface algae or the entire volume of a pond. Cutrine­Plus Liquid is ideal for treating surface growth of Planktonic Algae and floating mats of Filamentous Algae.  In ponds with little outflow, long term control of several months can be achieved on Filamentous and Planktonic Algae by treating the entire pond volume. Cutrine­plus Liquid may be toxic to Trout if carbonate hardness of treated water is less than 50 ppm. Most surface waters exceed this limit and pose no threat. If in doubt, use the Water Hardness Test Strips. Do not use in water containing Koi or hybrid Goldfish. To apply Cutrine­Plus Liquid, determine the volume of water to be treated in acre­ft. For Filamentous  and Planktonic Algae, use 1 gallon of Cutrine­Plus Liquid per 1.5 acre­ft of treated water, for Chara, use 2 gallons of Cutrine­Plus Liquid per acre­ft. of treated water. Dilute with a minimum of 9 parts water. Spray uniformly over the water surface as a rain of coarse droplets.  Contact with Filamentous Algae will be improved by breaking apart heavy surface mats before application. For Hydrilla, use 10 gallons of Weedtrine­D or 2 gallons of Harvester Liquid mixed with 3 gallons of Cutrine Plus Liquid per 1 acre to be treated.  Dilute mixture with a minimum of 9 parts water and apply as a surface spray or by underwater injection.  Use Cygnet­Plus liquid to increase penetration and contact. Treat heavy infestations in sections of 1/3 to 1/2 of total algae volume.  Allow 5 th 7 days before continuing to an untreated section. Water treated with CUTRINE­PLUS Liquid has no water use restrictions.
