  2. About The process of concrete polishing includes grinding the concrete surface at various grits to achieve a clean and reflective look. The initial stages of grinding will begin at lower grits, followed by higher grits, whether this to be to a 400 grit level, or something significantly more polished such as 1500 or 3000 grit. The degree to which a concrete floor is polished will determine how reflective it is, and will impact the strength and durability of the finished product as well. Unlike epoxy or polyaspartic flooring, one of the great benefits of polished concrete is that there are no chemicals or coatings involved in polishing concrete. In some instances, however, it is beneficial to add a final protective sealer for longevity, especially in settings that will experience substantial traffic and use.
