  3. Family Planning Policy • Current Family Planning Policy • Title X funded at $278 million • FPSP funded at $3+ million • Services include family planning and other basic health care • Family planning funding does not include abortion services

  4. Family Planning Politics • Public Perception vs. Policy • Polling shows that general public overwhelmingly supports family planning • Constituents are not well educated on actions of elected officials and appointed policy makers

  5. Family Planning Politics • Politics of Family Planning Funding • Success of Family Planning programs • Stagnant or decreased funding despite program success • Funding of Abstinence-only until marriage sex ed programs
