  1. HIV Story: How To Live and Date With HIV Positive It has been eight years since marry tested positive for the human immunodeficiency virus HIV and she is living proof that her status should not determine her future. marry was 22 years old when she was exposed to the virus. “I was dating an HIV-positive person who never disclosed his status to me, at that time I did not see him receiving ARV treatment, but he told me that he was living with the virus and that I should get tested,” she explained. When an HIV test confirmed marry worst nightmare, she turned to denial about her new reality and turned to alcohol to relieve her stress and disappointment in trusting her then-partner self-diagnosed virus. It took marry two years to accept her HIV-positive status and be consistent with her ARV treatment, but when her body was fighting two viruses, HIV and tuberculosis, she gave in and started taking her medication properly. At first I was taking and not taking my medication for hiv, which made me non- compliant, as a result my viral load went up and down because I felt hard at that time. According to the 28-year-old, her mind made her think it was the end of the world and that she would never be healthy or able to live her life at all. marry believes that her biggest problem was the lack of understanding of what it means to be HIV-positive, she didn't know why she had to take ARVs until she had time to learn more about the hiv virus. Disclosing her status was another hurdle to overcome, marry told her friends that she had tested positive but since she felt judged she decided to turn her back on them. The only person who accepted her was her mother, when she opened up to her mother, marry was sick, but her mother accepted her and loved her despite her deteriorating health. It was her mother who ensured that marry got the support she needed. She added that the rest of the family know her serological status and have accepted her. Although ARVs have caused her CD4 count to go under the radar, dating is still fraught with rejection when she discloses her HIV status. Marry added, “rejection hurts a lot and has the power to disrupt the healing process because you end up feeling like you're not good enough and that no one wants to be

ARV treatment consistently allows people living with HIV to conceive and give birth to HIV-negative children, as long as the CD4 count remains undetected. marry also maintains a healthy lifestyle through multivitamin supplementation and healthy eating. marry has leading a beautiful life with his partner where they meet through online HIV Positive Dating Websites which helped them lot to for to have beautiful life.
