2.   U s e f u l L i n k s The notification for the CGPSC Mains exam had been released by the official exam conducting authorities. The Pre- lims for CGPSC SSE exam took place on February 12th. The details of which had been released along with the official notification of the CGPSC exam 2020. The online registration process for CGPSC State Service Exam Main Exam commenced from June 27, 2020, onwards. The State Service Exam is executed in three phases- prelims, mains exam, and interview round. Through the CGPSC State Service Exam, the commission has concluded to recruit candidates in 242 vacancies available in different posts. While preparing for the examination the students have to make sure that they are fully familiar with the CGPSC exam pattern 2020. Candidates qualifying in the first stage are considered eligi- ble for the second one. Candidates qualifying for the second stage are considered eligible for the third stage of the CGPSC 2020. Candidates are urged to make note of the exam pattern for better preparation for the exam. The three stages of the CGPSC exam has been given below: oPreliminary Examination oMain Examination oInterview / Personality Test CGPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2020 In the CGPSC Prelims Examination, both the papers are as follows in the below-mentioned table. CGPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2020 Candidates who clear the Prelims will be called for the second stage which is the Mains examination. The exam pat- tern for the mains papers both paper-I and II along with the paper III-VII which is a little different has been men- tioned in a table below. 4.   U s e f u l L i n k s Section III 05 100 08 Section IV 03 250 20 Section V 02 500 40 oThe Mains exam will be conventional in nature oCGPSC Mains comprises 7 papers oEach paper carries 200 marks. oThe time given for each paper is 3 hours. oAll the papers except for the Language paper can be answered in either Hindi or English as selected by the candidate. oIn the Essay paper, candidates are expected to write 2 essays, one on a National level problem and other related to the state of Chhattisgarh. CGPSC Interview 2020 The candidates who qualify for the mains examination, are invited for a personality test which is the interview and is of 150 marks. The personality test judges the candidate’s mental awareness, clear and logical analysis, critical pow- ers of assimilation, variety, and depth of interest, the balance of judgment, the proficiency for social cohesion and leadership, and intellectual and moral integrity. The final merit list of recommended candidates will be based on the total marks obtained in the Mains Exam and the Interview.
