One of the major concerns faced by the government and official authorities is safeguarding the ecosphere and sanctity of the place. It is the responsibility of the spa resorts in Jim Corbett and the tourists themselves to adhere to the rules and regulations set by the officials in the area and act as volunteers themselves in promoting a green and sustainable way of operations in the National Park. Some of the rules and regulations that must be promoted by resorts in Corbett and the tourists as well include: 1. It is prohibited to carry any kind of arm and ammunition within the Tiger Reserve. 2. No pets are allowed in the interiors of Corbett National Park or Tiger Reserve. 3. It is prohibited to walk or trek within the premises of Tiger reserve 4. It is not allowed to drive inside the Corbett National Park after sunset 5. No one is allowed to cook within the premises of Corbett National Park. 6. It is mandatory for tourists to carry litter bags while entering the tiger reserve. Tourists are supposed to carry back their non-biodegradable litter (Tin Cans, Plastic, Glass, Bottle, metal, foils etc.) outside of the Jim Corbett National Park. 7. Authorized cross-filed guide is essential on all expeditions. 8. Smoking at any outer residential complexes or a resort in Corbett is prohibited. It is banned to light of any kind of fire in Jim Corbett National Park. 9. It is prohibited to practice fishing and angling inside the Corbett national park without having a government permit. Fishing with permits is allowed only on the outskirts of Corbett National Park and Sonanadi Wildlife Sanctuary between the 1st October and 30 June. Therefore it is mandatory for all spa resorts in Jim Corbett and various other hotels to not promote these activities to their tourists. 10. No kind of music is allowed inside of Jim Corbett National Park. 11. All visitors must abide by the safari timings and the timings for their excursions. It is not allowed to take vehicles off the selected routes to avoid causing damage to plant or animal life or their territory. 12. It is prohibited to use horns and to drive above the speed limit in the Tiger Reserve in order to avoid disrupt in animal and plant life of the Corbett National Park.
13. Visitors are not allowed to enter inside the core area for environmental and self-safety purposes. 14. Visitors must not tease or chase animals or attempt to nourish animals with food within the Jim Corbett National Park. 15. All visitors are advised to occupy the accommodation as reserved on the first day itself or provide prior information to hold the accommodation, Otherwise the reservation will be treated as cancelled. 16. Visitors have required obtaining an authorization certificate before departure their place of residence within the Tiger Reserve. 17. All visitors are required to have on clothes of colours which combine with the Natural surroundings (Khaki, Olive green, other dull colours). 18. Visitors are necessary to switch off all lights, fans, and water taps when not in use inside the Forest Lodge and park their vehicles at fitting parking place. 19. Visitors have to be obtaining entry permits at the reception of Jim Corbett National Park. Entry timings are synchronized in such manner that a visitor must reach their place of stay before sunset in Tiger Reserve. 20. Day visit to Dhikala Tourism Zone is not officially recognized except in conducted trips structured by Corbett Tiger Reserve. 21. Entry of the private buses in Bijrani Tourism Zone is strictly prohibited. 22. Entry Permit is not to be transfer and amount is not refundable in any case. 23. Any kind of non vegetarian food and use of liquor is strictly prohibited inside the Corbett National Park. 24. Entry fee will have to be paid at every entrance gate. 25. Plants should beleftto grow in their native location - captivating cuttings and roots is against the law in nature reserves. All visitors to the Tiger Reserve are governed by the provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act and rules made there under. It is not only the responsibility of the officials but also of the tourists and the resorts in Corbett to practice and promote responsible tourism.
