Apple’s Mail Drop is a feature that can be used on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac device to send email attachments of large sizes over iCloud. You can use the Mail Drop feature to exceed your email size limits. To use Mail Drop on your iPhone, an individual email and its attachment must not exceed the 5 GB limit. Many of the email platforms have certain size limits. Yahoo, Gmail, and AOL will not allow you to send emails that exceed the 25 MB limit. If you use Hotmailor Outlook, 10 MB will be your limit. Here, Apple’s Mail Drop comes into play.
Step : 1Through the default Mail app, try sending an email that is too large. • Step : 2You will see a pop-up window on your iPhone screen that goes like this “These attachments may be too large to send in email. Do you want to use Mail Drop…” • Step : 3Next, just tap the Use Mail Drop option that is on the pop-up. • Step : 4Now, the message will be delivered to the intended recipient(s) within a few seconds! • Step : 5Sharing or sending files over iCloud has so many advantages! And, thanks to the Mail Drop feature. • Step : 6When the recipient receives your email, he/she simply has to click the Mail Drop link that is found in the email.
