Maine psychologist Dr. Joseph J Plaud credits his grandmother for fanning his interest in Franklin Roosevelt’s administration. Over the years, Joseph has built an impressive collection of memorabilia from FDR’s time, including books, letters, and photographs, among numerous other items. His collection began with a picture of Eleanor Roosevelt and FDR Jr., and since then has grown to thousands of pieces.

Joseph J Plaud: Behavioral Science Expert Joseph Plaud is a well-known and respected clinical psychologist with a license to practice in Massachusetts and New York. He is currently the Executive Director of Applied Behavioral Consultants LLC, where his research is focused on sexual disorders and dysfunctions in sexual offenders. He is well versed on the subject, and regularly conducts independent evaluations in civil cases. Joseph J Plaud: Highly Qualified Expert Joseph J Plaud attended Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts of degree in Psychology (High Honors). He later enrolled at the University of Maine for his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. For his clinical internship, he joined the University of Mississippi in Jackson, where his research earned him an award for Best Research Article in the Journal of Behavior Therapy and Experimental Psychiatry.

He credits his grandmother for fanning this passion within him, as she had experienced the Great Depression. Joseph’s interest goes beyond just reading about the president, as his home contains numerous FDR artifacts, notably Roosevelt’s Panama hat and documents of signatures from nine Supreme Court justices who supported FRD’s re-election bid in 1936.
