  1. Justin Lumiere - Mount of Olives and Garden of Gethsemane

  2. Justin Lumiere visits Mount of Olives and the Garden of Gethsemane in Jerusalem, Israel. On the Mount of Olives, you will find beautiful trees and foliage. Small, colorful flowers grow naturally on the land here. The word Gethsemane derives from the Aramaic language and translates to "oil press.”

  3. Some olive trees still grow on the Mount of Olives. A small horse stable is carved into the mount and is visible from the lower part of one of the hills. You may see a few horses roaming freely within the lower part of the Mount of Olives.

  4. At the base of the Mount of Olives, Justin Lumiere explores the Garden of Gethsemane near the Roman Catholic Church of All Nations or Basilica of the Agony.

  5. The Rock of Agony is located here and, as mentioned in the four Gospels of the New Testament, it is where Jesus underwent the agony and prayed just before his arrest the night before his crucifixion. From Acts 1: 9-12, the Mount of Olives is where Jesus ascended into heaven. Also, at the Mount of Olives, Justin Lumiere visits the 3,000 year old Jewish cemetery with over 150,000 graves. According to Jewish tradition, when the Messiah arrives, it will be on the Mount of Olives and he will resurrect the dead, on Judgment Day. For many, this makes the Mount of Olives the most desirable location to be buried.
