  1. 23.05.2018 Can Over-Optimization Be The Reason Of Google Penalties? – Semalt Gives The Answer Nik Chaykovskiy, the Semalt expert, states that over-optimization can be explained as overuse of "white hat" SEO tactics during search engine optimization. Over-optimization is usually associated with Google since it has more advanced algorithms than other search engines. It is unclear whether other search engines such as Yahoo or MSN have penalties for over optimization. For a page to be considered well optimized, it must have the following standard components: keyword rich header, alt tags, description tags, meta keyword and description tags, title tags and several related links to other pages. The page should also have the keyword in the URL or ?lename. There are however limitations to the use of these tactics, for instance, you should not have any repeating keywords in any of the components listed above, no invisible text, as all given text should be visible to the naked eye. What should be avoided during page optimization? A search engine such as Google may be able to detect all levels of spam. Although it is unclear to what degree an over optimization extends, the factors below indicate possible assumptions as to the cause of over optimization penalties: https://rankexperience.com/articles/article1749.html 1/2

  2. 23.05.2018 Overuse of modi?ed text. Overuse of modi?ed text. The Modi?ed text refers to bold, H1 tag, and to underlining of terms during optimization. Search engine optimization experts (SEOs)use modi?ed text to maximize the result of the target keyword. However, if the keyword indicated is modi?ed in all these ways; i.e., bold, underlined and H1, this may, in turn, cause a result of repeating keywords which may be seen as over optimization. Very high-density keyword text. Very high-density keyword text. Google evaluates keyword densities in comparison to overall text. Therefore, if a page has repetitive keywords that are higher than the overall text, it could be ?agged since it does not meet the average requirement. The page could be well integrated with the site and still be ?agged since it could also be misinterpreted for a doorway for web spiders. Such a doorway could result in the total banning of your site from Google. Too many off-page elements. Too many off-page elements. This theory is similar to the modi?ed text assumption, but in this case, off-page elements refer to incoming links. Too many incoming links could result in the repetition of keywords, and once again this could result in your site being ?agged by Google. Does over optimization exist? Could over optimization get you banned or even penalized by search engines such as Google, MSN, Yahoo? No. For a website to be well optimized, your content should be represented to search engines and visitors in the best possible light. Repetition and overuse of keywords and other SEO tricks, means, in fact, that the page was not optimized properly. If a page is well optimized, therefore it cannot be over optimized. When optimizing a page, it is essential to consider factors such as keyword density, language used, type of sites you link to and who is linking to your site. https://rankexperience.com/articles/article1749.html 2/2
