Mission (CBT) The Rifle Bayonet Committee conducts 7.5 hours of Rifle Bayonet Training at WA799786 on 2, 4-6 AUG 2005 to instill the mental toughness and skills required to fight, never quit, overcome personal fear, and surmount personal weakness in order to destroy the enemies of America in close combat.
PURPOSE: Instill the skills required to fight and win,overcome personal fear, and display physical and mental courage in closing with and destroying the enemy. KEY TASKS: Train cadet cadre in basic rifle bayonet and pugil stick fighting techniques (T3) Train the cadets in offensive, defensive, and combination rifle bayonet techniques Train cadets in pugil stick fighting techniques Train cadets to negotiate obstacles and rifle bayonet assault course ENDSTATE: Cadets trained in basic rifle-bayonet techniques; physically and mentally challenged; instilled with the Bayonet Warrior Spirit, demonstrated the “Warrior Ethos” qualities of refusing to accept defeat, never quitting, and trained and equipped to kill the enemies of the United States in close combat, and with all training executed without injury to personnel. On order conduct tactical foot march.
PURPOSE: Instill the skills required to fight and win, overcome personal fear, and display physical and mental courage in closing with and destroying the enemy. KEY TASKS: Retrain the cadets in offensive, defensive, and combination rifle bayonet techniques Execute Physically Challenging 11K Foot March to standard as a platoon Train cadets to negotiate obstacles and rifle bayonet assault course as a fire team Cadets practice command and control at Fire Team, Squad, Platoon and Company levels ENDSTATE: Cadets retrained in basic rifle-bayonet techniques through a physically challenging event; Bayonet Warrior Spirit reinforced without redundancy; Cadets having demonstrated the “Warrior Ethos” qualities of refusing to accept defeat, never quitting, and equipped to kill the enemies of the United States in close combat and all levels of the Company having shot, moved and communicated with the opportunity for Yearlings to “Lead the Charge.” Intent (CFT)
