  9. Macro Minerals Calcium = Total skeletal bone growth and re-generation in young & old deer alike Phosphorus = Reacts with calcium to maximize bone, teeth & antler growth Potassium= Plays a key role in feed intake and digestion Sulfur = Is very important for optimal growth and over all health Sodium = Makes up approx. 92% of the basic mineral elements of the blood serum. Salt = Comprised of Sodium and Chlorine and is critical for a deer’s overall health and stable water balance within the body Magnesium= Crucial for antler development and re-acts with calcium

  10. Trace Minerals Manganese = Plays a crucial role in deer’s metabolism. Works as a synergistic medium with calcium , phosphorus, magnesium and B-1 vitamins. Copper = Plays the central role in the formation of healthy blood cells and is necessay for hemoglobin formation. MOST important enzyme in a body for the control of free radical proteins.   Zinc = Important for maximizing overall body growth, wound healing and general immune system functions. Assists in inter-reactions with Vitamin B - 12, calcium and phosphorus. Iodine= Used as a controlling mechanism of thyroid gland functionality   Selenium = Essential micro-nutrient for the optimal health of deer and elk. Interacts with Vitamin E in a synergistic & cooperative manner within the cervid metabolism. Cobalt = Necessary component of Vitamin B– 12 synthesis through the gut bacteria area   Iron= Has a wide variety of functions in a deer or elk body. Cellular respiration depends on proper levels of iron, and iron in the metal chelate of hemoglobin, which is the oxygen carrying mechanism of the blood. Red blood cells and several enzymes depend on proper levels of iron in the system as well.

  11. Vitamin Reactions Calcium Vitamin B-12 Phosphorus Vitamin B-6 Salt/Chlorine Vitamin B-5 Sodium Vitamin B-2 Magnesium Vitamin B-1 Potassium Vitamin C Sulfur Iron Biotin (H) Copper Niaciamide (B-3) Manganese Folic Acid (B) Zinc Vitamin E Cobalt Vitamin D Selenium Vitamin A Iodine

  12. Basic Vitamins Vitamin A = Stimulates formation and development of a deer’s body cells . Necessary for bone & teeth formation. A fat soluble vitamin that stores itself in the body Vitamin D = Is critical for optimal antler development and works in conjunction with calcium & phosphorus. A fat soluble vitamin. Vitamin E = Most important function is to maintain the ability of the cellular membranes to function properly. Usually discussed in relation to selenium. Fat soluble vitamin. Vitamin B-1 = Thiamin is a water soluble vitamin that can be synthesized by intestinal microbes of all deer species. It is absorbed with water and storage is very limited in the deer body and thus, must be available DAILY from the diet or via body microbe synthesis. Essential to maintain the cervid metabolism. In 1982 the National Research Council identified two compounds that can either destroy Thiamin prior to its absorption or interfere with overall metabolism. These compounds are called Thiaminase. Of particular interest to those of us who deal with deer, is the fact that this compound can be produced by rumen bacteria when CORN diets are fed or present in the deer’s diet.

  13. Additional B Vitamins Vitamin B-2 = Riboflavin is an essential water soluble vitamin that plays an important role in the metabolic process of carbohydrates, fats and proteins found in the food a deer eats. Vitamin B-3 = Niacin is a water soluble vitamin that plays many roles in the deer’s body. From aiding the digestive tract, to maintaining the nervous system and even the reproductive organs. Vitamin B-5 = Pantothinic Acid is a water soluble vitamin that helps builds the deer’s body cells. Extremely important for the utilization of other vitamins which effects overall body health. Vitamin B-6 = Pyridoxine is water soluble vitamin which is probably involved in more bodily functions than any other vitamin. Deficiency symptoms can include a loss of appetite, retarded growth and even hair loss. Vitamin B-12 = This vitamin works with cobalt in the intestine system, and we speculate that due to present agriculture practices, self synthesis is marginal at best. Works also with folic acid and zinc to form critical DNA from which traits are inherited.

  14. Vitamins Continued Vitamin C = A water soluble vitamin of asorbic acid which protects a deer’s body and rapidly growing antlers from interference of damage during growth. Most widely known use is the functionality of this vitamin that is essential for a functional immune system. Deficiencies of Vitamin C include weight loss, retarded growth, weak bones, loose teeth and a weakened immune system. Biotin (H or B) = Water soluble vitamin that is important in food metabolism and the overall utilization of the other B vitamins which a deer needs. Works as a multiplier for ALL B vitamins Folic Acid (B9) = Also known as a B complex vitamin which is water soluble and is essential to the health of all types of cervids. Vital for normal growth and development and is important for normal cell replication and cell division. Important for the proper nerve cell development in fetal fawns or elk calves.

  17. Quality of Ingredients

  18. Why Loose ?CONSUMPTION ! Why loose granular minerals/vitamins over blocks? Loose granular mineral/vitamins are more readily absorbed and used because it’s natural for wildlife to consume their minerals/vitamins from the ground. It takes along time to have mother nature break down blocks for the wildlife to consume. Wildlife gets full advantage out of loose granular minerals/vitamins. Why loose granular minerals/vitamins over loose salt? Loose salt will attract wildlife but will not offer wildlife the necessary minerals/vitamins for year around wildlife nutrition.

  22. So what does all this mean? Quality is everything in a mineral & vitamin supplemental program. What most of the competitors don’t tell you, is that of ALL the feed grade ingredients, the deterioration of the vitamins used, is TREMENDOUS! Most vitamin A is gone before the product hits the shelf and vitamin E is not far behind. Not with Vita-Rack 26! This PATENTED process utilizes only the best ingredients that will last & last. Weather is not a deterrent, whether rain, sleet or snow, Vita Rack 26 is there for your herd to benefit in a ‘year round’ environment. We dare you to compare!

  23. How to improve Overall Genetics Minerals/Vitamins Are essential year around key elements needed for whitetail deer in order to maximize the overall health and nutrition to produce trophy deer. VITA-RACK 26 will also help maintain and hold wildlife to your area. Nutrition/Food Plots/Water Make sure you have food and water available all year round. Different food plots at different times of the year to make sure there is nutrition and protein throughout the year. Management Is: An opportunity to make sure minerals and vitamins are checked monthly. Food plots are worked, planted, and maintained. Food plots are also planted for year around feed and nutrients. Wildlife is balanced in your area with a selective harvest program and maintained for years to produce trophy wildlife. Wildlife Habitat/Cover Producing cover for wildlife with cool and warm season grasses, along with trees and brush for a wildlife bedding area. A creek or river or ponds for water and other wildlife. Food plots create cover also. Depending on your area there are a lot of different wildlife habitat/cover possibilities. Genetics Genetics play an important role in the overall wildlife management plan. Having a management plan, will help make your wildlife trophies. Eventually females and males will reproduce and with the help of all the ideal contributing factors brought to your herd by using VITA-RACK 26, it will help create and improve your overall genetics.

  24. How to Use • Place Vita-Rack 26 near wildlife trails or other areas frequently used by wildlife. • Starting a new feeding station. • Make sure the ground is clear of leaves and debris before starting. • Loosen the ground with a rake, leaving an indentation 2-3 ft. in diameter, to help prevent run-off from heavy rain. • Pour ¾ of a 5 lb. bag into the indentation and mix into the ground. Pour remainder of bag on top of ground. • Existing feeding stations. • Deer instinctively seek out the nutrition they need. When they find your site they’ll visit it frequently, so we recommend that you refresh the site monthly. • To refresh, simply pour a 5 lb. bag of Vita-Rack 26 on the existing lick-site and mix into the ground. • Every 40 acres, depending on terrain, should have a feeding station. Vita-Rack 26 should be used year around for the necessary minerals/vitamins for wildlife nutrition.
