HAIR LOSS IN CHILDREN • Hair loss does not only affect adults but even children which can be traumatic for the child as well as their parent. • The cause for severe hairfall could be some illness or heavy medications. • With proper diagnosis and care, most of the hair loss cases have been treated successfully.

How can parent help: • Consult pediatrician who can help detect the cause of hair loss and prescribe medication accordingly. • If hair loss is due to physical injury take care of the wound by keeping it clean and applying necessary medication. • Most important be calm and patient as the child needs you and wait for the hair to grow back.
