3. September 2005 Camp Report The camp held in September was a memorable occasion for all who attended it. The three age groups and four cultural groups did not stop the kids to mix and build true friendships in the real Imbila spirit. The games played by Madeleen early on Saturday Morning 24 Sept, broke the ice, and all could take their places on the new Imbila bus for the long road to Natal. After a long day on the road, we thankfully arrived at Bush Baby Lodge in Hluhluwe for the next nine unforgettable, adventure-filled days. Crocs, snakes, game-drives, boat-trips, were only part of the exciting things ahead, and the kids could not wait to begin. Over the next four days at Bush Baby Lodge, visits to the snake and crocodile farm, a game drive, abseiling, paintball, archery, the Zulu Cultural Village for some Zulu dancing and the boat trip to St Lucia, the kids came back to camp exhausted, crawling into their beds, eagerly looking forward to what the next day would bring. At Sodwana Bay we spent four days in the sun, boogie boarding, snorkeling, chasing crabs and learning marine biology, like coral formation, anemones and other sea life. Then bringing the day to an end, we sat around the campfire each night, laughing and telling stories reliving the days events over again. But everything came to an end on Sunday 2 October, when we had to call Sodwana Bay farewell, and tackle the long road back to Gauteng, but this time with a new vision of what the best in ME is.  So long Sodwana, we'll be back again with Imbila in December for another exciting camp... By combining adventure activities, like scuba diving, quad biking, abseiling and adventure walks with a classroom based curriculum, the student will receive an practical understanding of the problem they are faced with. This problem-solving method can then be applied in their daily lives. Subjects that are presented by Imbila Edu-Adventures are:

5. INTEREST DETERMINATION SUBJECT ORIENTATION IN MATHS A Personality Profile was done on each child on the camp. The profile is then linked to the student’s assessment to ascertain the best possible career opportunity. During the follow-up conversation with the student and parents, the student is guided to assist him/her with subject choices.

12. Do you want to obtain your certification to scuba dive? Then join Imbila on the next Scuba Diving Training course held in Johannesburg. Our lectures, pool work and dives will be done on the Reef, that will leave you with the freedom to scuba in Sodwana during the next Camp in December. Contact us for more info. The adventure begins, Imagine watching the water level move up your mask as you slowly go below the surface - and continue to breathe! It's the most exciting feeling imaginable. The NAUI Scuba Diver course will teach you everything you need to know to independently and competently scuba dive with a buddy - on your own to explore and discover. OVERVIEWScuba Diver is the NAUI entry level scuba certification course. It provides the fundamental knowledge and skills to scuba dive. Upon successful completion of this course, graduates are considered competent to engage in open water diving activities without supervision, provided the diving activities and the areas dived approximate those of training. OPEN WATER DIVESThe minimum number of open water dives is five. They may be all scuba dives or one skin dive and four scuba dives. No more than two scuba dives may be made on a single day during the course. Open water training may be completed in two days with a skin dive and two scuba dives on one day and two additional scuba dives on the other day. All open water training must take place during daylight hours. 18 meters is the maximum depth for any open water training dives during the course. PREREQUISITES FOR ENTERING THE COURSEAge. Minimum is 15 years for Scuba Diver certification. (Junior certification for ages 12 - 14 years is allowed.)
