  3. Changes at Region 6 ESC • Personnel Changes • Kevin Osborn – Systems Technician • Jonathan Berry – Systems Engineer • Barbara Solow – CommNet Contact Person • System/Equipment Upgrades • Chris Butler

  4. TEA Updates • Second Session of Legislature finished – No real changes for technology • $30 Allotment still same • Textbooks now considered to be Instructional Materials, definition to be changed – will include online materials

TEA Updates • Technology Plans • Update vs Revision – Either one MUST be done each year! • Updates can be submitted by June 30th • Revisions to be submitted in March • We will revise our list of Tech Plan Reviewers and train group in December or early January – taking volunteers! • We will notify each school district in September of current status of Plan and will send “ticklers” of upcoming deadlines • We are available to consult with district technology plan committee to write/update Tech Plan

  6. TEA Updates – cont. • STAR Charts • Must be completed by all teachers • Campus plan must be completed before you can submit District Technology Plan for review • STAR Chart and District Technology Plan should relate to each other

  7.
