Program Structure • Meetings of the group before program to discuss course structure/assignments • Pre-Departure Orientation to discuss: • What to Pack • Cultural Issues • Health and Safety Abroad • What to Pack • Money Matters • Italian 101 • Pre-Departure Class Session • Cover course contents unrelated to Italy • In Italy: • Group visits sights (mainly in the morning/early afternoon) with guides • Teaching/Lectures occasionally (on bus, in café/hotel) • Write daily journal • Mid-term before departure; final exam when back home • Sufficient free time scheduled for individual/personal activities The Brookdale International Center

How to Sign Up • No academic prerequisites • Eligible: Brookdale students; community members, students from other colleges/ universities • Submit $500 to International Center on or before February 1, 2005 • Check (made out to ”BCC International Center”), credit card or cash • “First-come-first-served” basis • Guarantees spot on the program • Refundable only if program does not run due to low enrollment and/or terrorist attack in Italy • Sign all forms; submit program application forms The Brookdale International Center
