  2. Cubism • A twentieth century art movement developed mainly by Picasso and Braque in which the subject matter is broken up, analyzed and reassembled in an abstract form, emphasizing geometric shapes.

  3. Futurism • Futurism was a modernist movement based in Italy celebrating the technological era. It was largely inspired by the development of Cubism. The core preoccupations of Futurist thought and art were machines and motion.

  4. Expressionism • Expressionism is a style in which the intention is not to reproduce a subject accurately, but instead to portray it in such a way as to express the inner state of the artist.

  5. Percisionism • Precisionism (or Cubist Realism) is a style of representation in which an object is rendered in a realistic manner, but with an emphasis on its geometric form.

  6. Orphism • The orphists were rooted in cubism but moved toward a pure lyrical abstraction, seeing painting as the bringing together of a sensation of bright colors

  12. Cartoonist • The artists who draw cartoons are known as cartoonists.
