  2. Sorento 2017 • The 2017 Kia Sorento gives a strong and adaptive looks to double down the last year's looks, its a complete makeover. With utility and rugged looks, the Sorento is a value –oriented ride for those seeking to avoid the minivan stigma. a new body structure, a newly available turbocharged inline-4 engine, plus modest gains in interior space and major gains in general cabin comfort and ride quality. Previously known as a midsize crossover at a relatively compact price, the Sorento has graduated to full-fledged midsize status, competing on luxury and performance (and, yes, price) with the segment's best.

  3. Kia Sorento offers three engines, the Sorento maintains a presence on the value-oriented end of the spectrum with its base 2.4-liter four-cylinder. A 185-hp four-cylinder is standard; a 240-hp turbo four and a 290-hp V-6 are optional. Five- or-seven-passenger versions are available.

  4. Kia's higher trim levels. Three-row competitors include the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Toyota Highlander. From the driver’s seat, it’s easy to feel that there’s been major improvement in the way this re-engineered model responds and performs.

Note that the L model, the SX Limited and the EX with the turbocharged engine (EX 2.0T) are five-passenger only, while the EX V6 and the SX are seven-passenger only.

  7. The 2017 Sorento is offered in base L, LX, mid-range EX, and top SX and Limited trims. The base L is only offered with the 2.4-liter inline-4, and it’s definitely equipped to a price point, omitting features such as UVO audio, roof rails, and acoustic glass entirely.
