Introduction • HughesNet was established in 1971 and the headquartered in Germantown, Maryland. • HughesNet offers a satellite-based communication service and they also offer one-way and two-way satellite. • They provide a high-speed satellite internet service, HughesNet, which is the largest service.

  3. Cont…. • In this ppt, we will guide you on how to configure HughesNet E-mail in Microsoft Outlook XP. Note: - • If the user using something@hughes.net for e-mail so, you should know your HughesNet e-mail address, username, and password. • If the user using web-based e-mail service like Yahoo or MSN, etc. so, you will not need to set up an e-mail client. • If the user using e-mail other than HughesNet, you should only need to change the ‘Outgoing Server’ to smtp.hughes.net and this will allow sending e-mail.

  4. Steps to configure hughesnet E-mail Microsoft outlook xp The steps are following as:- Step 1:- Set up Outlook Step 2:- Now, click on the E-mail Accounts from the Tools menu. Step 3:- Click on add a new E-mail account. Step 4:- Select Next.

Step 5:- Choose either POP3 or IMAP. • If you choose POP3, all the e-mail messages will be downloaded to the computer. • If you choose IMAP, so the user can preview their e-mail messages without downloading them. Step 6:- Select Next. Step 7:- Fill the e-mail account information: Name,Email Address, Incoming Mail Server,Outgoing Mail Server, Username,Password .

If you want to send email using your email client, be sure to use SMTP authentication (SMTP Authentication is not the same as SSL) and after authentication then type your email account and password. Step 9:- Select More Settings. Step 10:- Choose the Outgoing Mail Server.
