  2. Dear Friend, As you know, the sales funnel is not a new term in the business world. It’s been so bastardized that one begins to wonder if they really work anymore. I even came across a post one day that the author describes sales funnel as a strategy for suckers. It cracked me up. As funny as it sounds to me, I tried to understand his plight. Some so-called gurus have so complicated the process that it becomes overwhelming. As a matter of fact, most resources you see on the internet about sales funnels are so vague that you don’t even know how to implement them. I know this because I experienced it. When I started my business, I spent a lot of money trying to get results as quickly as I could. Frankly, I don’t mind spending money on stuff that help me grow my business. So, it was frustrating blowing loads of cash to set up sales funnels that got little to no results. Trust me, we’ve had so many clients who came to us with the same experience I just narrated above. Chances are that you may also have experienced that. So, like the author above, you have resigned to the fact that “sales funnels suck!” If you are in that position, I perfectly understand. The truth is that having a working sales funnel that gets premium clients isn’t as complicated as they make it seem.

  3. When I lost money investing in sales funnel services that didn’t get me results, I didn’t give up on the process. I knew that having a sales funnel is a given if I must get great results from my marketing efforts. The question is this; what sales funnel works? Or better still; what kind of sales funnel lands high paying clients fast? It took me years to come up with a sales funnel that lands premium clients in a short time. Now this is not the conventional sales funnel that you are used to. It is not the sales funnel that “sucks”. It’s a simple 3-step funnel that works every single time. The old, regurgitated, and ineffective funnel goes this way: - Give your prospects a lead magnet. - Sell them a $10 or $20 report. - Then wait some 7 days and sell them a complete $97 video training. Follow this up by a $500 course. - After some 2 weeks, pitch them your $2,000 7-module course. - And finally, offer them your $5,000 one on one coaching. This kind of funnel doesn’t work anymore. It wastes your potential client’s time. In fact it “sucks!” Take for instance, my business is in trouble and I need instant assistance. Yes, I may need your free report or lead magnet. But, I don’t have 2 or 3 weeks to wait before getting your hands-on coaching. I need help and I need it now.

  4. 4 It’s the same way with your client. So, you see why this old funnel doesn’t just work? So, away with the old and let me introduce this powerful 3-step funnel that works. The best part is that it’s simple to implement. In fact, it takes a couple days to set up. The funnel is just an Ad, a webinar, and a phone call. Let me break it down. 1. An Ad This is the outermost part of the funnel. This is your awareness creation strategy. If you don’t tell people what you do, then no one gets to know. It’s useless if you have a great product or service and no one knows about it.   You need an Ad that places your product or service in front of your ideal clients. This is the only way they get to know that you have something they need.   There are so many ways to do this. But, it’s important you know what strategy works for your particular business. This is why you must know who you serve and the outcome you help them deliver. That’s what determines how you go about your ad campaign and also the channel you use for your ad. Use the Right Channel There are lots of channels you can use to run your ad campaigns. The fact that you have so many options doesn’t mean you must use all of them. You need to know what works for you and the kind of results you expect to get.

  5. 5 A few of the channels you can use are Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, Google, and YouTube (best for video ad campaigns). In our business, we use Facebook. We have discovered that Facebook works best for our business and gets us great results in terms of ROI. We also use LinkedIn sometimes.   Like I said earlier, the channel you choose depends on the kind of business you do. For your kind of business, YouTube might be the channel that lands premium clients for your business. For another, it might be Twitter.   I advise you test the same Ads on different platforms to know which one works best for your business. It doesn’t have to be on an elaborate budget, so you don’t waste money for nothing. Use a minimal budget for each of them and test for a particular period of time. You can then track which channel brings you the most results. For us, we get $10 for every $1 dollar spent on Facebook Ads. We achieve this through rigorous testing. When you’re done testing, you can settle for one or two channels that get you the best results. This is how we settled for Facebook Ads. Today, we spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on Facebook Ads.

Testing Different Ads on Your Chosen Channel The fact that a channel works for you doesn’t mean all your Ads will work well. For instance, we have discovered that Facebook gives us the best result. But we’ve had times when some Ads didn’t perform well. And it cost us lots of money. There are a number of reasons for that – algorithm change, headline, content angle, and so on. This can be disastrous if it’s a campaign you’re running on a huge budget.   To curb this, we set up different Ads for the same campaign. We take different angles and test them. We monitor them for a while (say 2 or 3 days). We give this amount of time to check their performance. After the test period is over, we pause the underperforming ones and scale the best performers.   Now the criteria for knowing the best performers is dependent on the overall goal of the Ad campaign. Most often than not, the aim of business Ads is to lead your ideal clients to a landing page. This could be your webinar page (as I will discuss later), a sales page or an information page.

  7. 7 The essence of this is to get them to where they get more information about your product or service. So you have to look at the Ad that is getting more engagement and clicks within a period of time. You can then increase your budget on that one to get more leads. The rest can be paused, or stopped completely. 2. A Webinar Registration Page I said earlier that the purpose of your Ad campaign should be to take your ideal customers to where they learn more about you. You don’t have the luxury to tell your audience all they need to know in your ads. A webinar is the best avenue to give your clients the best you have to offer. What they got from the Ad campaign is a trailer to what you should give them on the webinar.   I have seen the awesome results that webinars get for our business. Clients who have worked with us also testify to its conversion power.   One reason a webinar is effective is because it makes a strong impression on the minds of prospective clients. If you can put up a resourceful webinar, it shows your credibility and authority in your market. This is the perception people have about webinars.

  8. 8 Give Your Best Take the time and prepare a rich and insightful webinar. Take a subject that relates to your product and service and deal ruthlessly with it (that I mean in a positive way). Get all the needed information about the subject and touch all possible points.   There are 3 things you must do on the webinar: Identify a Challenge or a Pressing Need – Your ideal clients are going through stuff and they need help. At the same time, people have desires and goals they want to achieve. Whichever the case, you have to identify it, depending on the profile you’ve created for your ideal clients. Your ideal clients need to know that you understand and empathize with them. So your ability to identify their desires or pain points is the first step in getting them to the bottom of the funnel. Escalate the Challenge or Need – Yes! It’s not enough to tell them that you know what they are going through. You need to show them that you know how bad it can be when their problem is not solved. Show them what they stand to lose if they don’t achieve that dream of theirs. You don’t have to blow things out of proportion. You can share your experiences and how bad it was for you. You can also share other stories that warms them. Get them expectant and interested in what you have to offer.

  9. 9 Present a Solution – This is where you show them the paradise you are offering. You present your business as the solution to their problem. It is the solution that you present that opens the door to the last part of the funnel. It is what determines if your webinar audience go or move to the next phase.   10. 10 3. A Call Scheduling Page If you get it right with the webinar, you are likely going to have hot leads waiting to be enrolled. However, they still need to go through one last qualification process. This is why you need to have a call scheduling page.   This is important because everyone who comes to your webinar might not be a fit for your business. Yes, they came from targeted Ads. But you can’t say for sure that they meet all the requirements to be your ideal clients.   When you get them to schedule a call, you get the opportunity to ask them specific qualification questions. You get to find out specifically what they want and if you can help them get it. If they are a fit, you sign them up. If they are not a fit for your business, let them go.   We drop lots of potential clients every day. If we believe we can’t help them, we let them go. So talking with them helps us to know if they are ready to put in the work required to achieve their desired outcome and if we are a fit. The truth is that we place high premium on high-ticket clients. They make our work easy and are committed to achieving their goals.
