  1. Things to know about BPO in the Philippines There are many misconceptions and misunderstandings about outsourcing in the Philippines. Outsourcing is a term that simply means contracting services from other companies for a fee, such as a computer programming or general data processing. Offshoring is outsourcing to another country, like India, China or the Philippines. When work is offshored, people who live outside of the country where outsourcing occurs are doing it The truth of outsourcing in the Philippines is that it brings more jobs and opportunities to Filipinos than any other industry can do. The integration with global markets has made outsourcing have plenty of benefits for Filipino workers and citizens as well. Outsourcing contracts also bring a lot of money into the Philippine economy. In this article, we’re going to talk about the things every business should know about the BPO industry in the Philippines What is BPO and how does it work Business process outsourcing (BPO) is an industry consisting of companies that provide outsourcing services to other businesses, including call centres, medical transcription, legal research and others. The main services provided are customer relationship management (CRM), human resource management (HRM), technology outsourcing, finance, accounting & taxation outsourcing and sales outsourcing. Business process outsourcing (BPO) is a subset of outsourcing that involves the contracting of the operations and responsibilities of a specific business process to a third-party service provider. In other words, it's outsourcing a company's internal procedures. For example, if you want an expert to handle your payroll, you might hire someone who specializes in payroll outsourcing. The benefits of outsourcing to the Philippines

  2. Many people are outsourcing their jobs to the Philippines because of the many benefits outsourcing brings. Outsourcing is very popular in countries such as Australia, United States, Canada and Nigeria. Outsourcing, offshoring or outsourcing to the Philippines outsourcing are services that either a company or an individual can use to have their work more easily and cheaply done by someone else. There are many benefits of outsourcing but outsourcing in the Philippines is becoming increasingly popular due to several factors: - Accessibility - The Philippines is one of the most accessible countries in Asia both geographically with its 7,107 islands and ease of communication with almost 90% internet penetration. - English proficiency - Although there are over 100 local languages spoken, conveniently, English [being one of two official languages] is understood throughout the country making outsourcing projects run smoothly without language barriers. - Climate & Culture - The climate varies across regions allowing for outsourcing all year round according to outsourcing needs. - Labour costs - Philippines outsourcing benefits include outsourcing workers who are very eager to learn and have a strong work ethic but with outsourcing costs much lower than in the Western world. - Competence - Outsourcing services can be contracted [usually] for any type of project requiring personal knowledge, technical skill or creative ability that can save outsourcing clients unnecessary expenses due to their outsourcing requirements not being met. The Philippines outsourcing industry is largely comprised of call centres, business process outsourcing companies and customer support which have allowed its outsourcing market share to increase as a major competitor in Asia where many other countries have been reaping the benefits of cheap outsourced labour. Who are the most popular companies for BPO in the Philippines (e-commerce, call centres, etc) The outsourcing industry, which focuses on information technology, customer interaction centre outsourcing (CIC outsourcing), human resources outsourcing (HRO outsourcing) and other target-process outsourcing, offers many job opportunities to Filipinos.

  3. Information technology outsourcing is regarded as the most popular in the Philippines because of its wide scope that covers business process outsourcing (BPO). This sector has a very broad configuration of jobs for people who love surfing the web. It provides call centre services, mobile application development, data management services and so much more. A lot of companies have set up their branches in the country. These include Accenture Ltd., Convergys Corp., IBM Global Business Services, Thomson Reuters ZOLL Data Management Solutions GmbH and Shore360. Why should I outsource my business process to the Philippines instead of India or China? Sometimes there is a misconception that outsourcing in different places will provide the same benefits. While outsourcing to India, outsourcing to China and outsourcing to the Philippines all have similarities, they also have differences. Performing an outsourcing study is a worthy activity not only for novice outsourcing seekers but also those who already outsource offshore and are considering their options. It can be difficult to know if your business should outsource your next BPO/KPO project or any other related outsourcing processes to India, China or the Philippines. What are some common misconceptions about outsourcing to the Philippines that people need to know about The outsourcing industry has made tremendous strides in the past ten years. The outsourcing workforce is growing and outsourcing opportunities are increasing exponentially. There are many misconceptions about outsourcing to the Philippines which people need to know about, however, they are not limited to these common misconceptions: 1) The Philippine outsourcing industry is like call centres only. This misconception may be since most of the outsourcing jobs in the Philippines happen to be in this industry. But one cannot say for sure if this is true because there has been a significant increase in other outsourcing industries as well such as animation, marketing and software development. 2) It's all English-speaking work over here so I don't need a foreign worker visa.

  4. The Philippines has an international workforce and outsourcing to the Philippines has been popular for ten years now. While English is used in outsourcing, outsourcing companies expect a lot more from their foreign workers than just being able to speak this language. A worker must have extensive experience of working with different types of clients from all over the world as well as how to handle international customers who may not be fluent in English when they call outsourcing offices in the Philippines. 3) I can save money by outsourcing my work here in Manila. The cost savings are there – no doubt about that- but outsourcing requires a good deal of financial investment on two fronts: 1) The business owner's front and 2) The employee's or contractor's front. It takes time and effort to find the right people to handle outsourcing projects from the Philippines. This is where outsourcing companies come in to ease the outsourcing process by providing a pool of highly skilled workforce so outsourcing business owners can focus more on their core businesses or work. Outsourcing companies also provide phone reception, back-office support and other human resource services which outsourcing business workers may not have time for due to heavy workloads. 4) The labour cost over here is cheap. Outsourcing charges and prices are indeed lower than most western countries; however, this does not make it easy for outsourcing workers themselves. Employees must prove their worth if they want better positions as well as higher salaries. Just like any other industry, competition in outsourcing requires employees to be at par with what other outsourcing providers offer in terms of outsourcing rates and outsourcing quality. 5) Once I hire someone, it will be smooth sailing from then on. Outsourcing business workers should always remember that outsourcing contracts are only effective for a specific project or task only. Outsourcing employees who are with outsourcing companies have to sign another contract upon the termination of their employment agreement so they can be contracted again by outsourcing companies as independent contractors or even (or mainly) employed directly by outsourcing providers themselves. The time during which an outsourcing employee has not been working is called "downtime" because no one hires him/her while he/she's unemployed.
