  1. What’s Your Type? Discovering your skin type Normal. Oily. Dry. Combination. Sensitive. No skin is created equal! So it’s important to treat yours as the unique piece of YOU that it is! Determining your skin type is important to ensure you have an effective skincare routine. Identifying your skin type is relatively easy with a little research. Here are a few identifying factors to help you discover the type of skin you’re in!

  2. Take a Closer Look Time to grab a mirror and do a little inspecting! A good way to determine your skin type is to first wash your face. Start with a clean slate! After about 15 minutes, see where you measure up with the different skin types below. Normal Normal skin is smooth, soft and supple. Pores are barely visible. Normal skin does not feel dry or oily, rather it feels fresh after a wash. Oily Oily skin produces oils in the T-zone and the cheek area. Pores are often enlarged and quite visible.

  3. Oily skin gives a shiny look and feels slick to the touch. Dry Dry skin may feel tight in the morning. It often has a dull appearance and is rough in texture. Dry skin will often have red blotches and can feel itchy. Combination A little bit of this, a little bit of that! Combination skin is a mix of dry and oily. Pores are often enlarged on your nose. Dry skin causes your T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) to be oily, while your cheeks will be dry. Sensitive Sensitive skin is prone to irritation. Pores may appear larger. Sensitive skin has redness, itching and dryness. Once your skin type is decided, be sure you choose the right skincare routine for complete care and radiance! We love Be Balanced™ Routine for Normal and Combination skin or Be Gentle™ Routine for Dry and Sensitive skin.
