  1. Introduction to Dorzox Eye Drops 5ml Dorzox Eye Drops 5ml contains Dorzolamide which belongs to the group of medicines called Ophthalmic antiglaucoma agents. It is used to treat glaucoma. Glaucoma is a group of eye conditions that damages the optic nerve (nerves which are responsible for proper vision). It is characterised by increased pressure within the eyes caused due to impaired secretion or drainage of fluids (aqueous humour) within the eyes. Dorzox Eye Drops 5ml is for ophthalmic use only. Instil a few drops of the medicine into the affected eye(s). Do not touch the tip of the dropper with your eye or other body surface to avoid contamination. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove the lens before applying Dorzox Eye Drops 5ml and wait for at least 15 minutes before reinsertion. Before using Dorzox Eye Drops 5ml inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any other eye problems apart from glaucoma (such as eye infections or eye surgery) as a precaution. It works by blocking the action of an enzyme called carbonic anhydrase within the eye, that causes the pressure within the eye to rise. As a result, it decreases the elevated pressure within the eyes and provides relief from unpleasant symptoms of glaucoma (such as eye pain, headache, or blurred vision).
