Description Ryze is a culmination of trials and tribulations I experienced on my journey to the new age of 34.My book is divided into two parts, the first half is an autobiography of my life from my inception where I experienced some of the ugliest parts of life such as colorism, drug abuse, violence, physical and sexual abuse, to my twenties where I had the power to rewrite my own programming and break my generational curses. I don't believe myself important enough to write an autobiography for millions to pick up and read but to add context to how I carry myself in the present day. A peer of mine read my rough draft in my book's early draft and kept asking me how I arrived at these notions. After questioning me a few times it clicked that I had to write my life story so that you guys can see my trials and how I applied the life lessons taught to me. The second half of my book is divided into 3 main chapters which is a mantra I came up with during my times of weakness. Be real, Be relentless and Ryze above!Be real is about taking an honest inventory of your goals, your aspirations, your strengths, and where you stand with family and friends. I found there was a point in my life that things were just in shambles, everything was under fire. I needed to take an honest inventory of my strengths, my weaknesses and contrast them with my goals. I found that with all the strength that I had, there were a lot of deficiencies I possessed and needed to work on them if I was going to get myself out of this hole I put myself in. But first, I needed to be real with myself!Be relentless, after sitting, dissecting and stripping myself of ego the next step was rebuilding myself. Be relentless is the chapter that I show you the work I did to climb out this hole that I haphazardly put myself in. It's not enough to recognize your flaws, shortcomings and inequities, it's only a portion of the journey. The other, is working on them, apologizing for the hurt you cause all while trying to achieve your goals.Ryze above is about becoming more human while shedding your humanity. Emotions are a healthy part of life, but operating through emotions is a downfall for most of us. Ryze above by understanding that we all share the earth and are all living and at some points aren't the best version of ourselves.
