  2. MUMBAI PROPERTIES OVERVIEW One of South Mumbai’s most prominent neighbourhoods, Tardeo, has emerged to be one of the costliest luxury real estate markets in the city. The primary residential real estate market here is the most expensive and with good reason! As per multiple reports, luxury property in Tardeo commands a whopping Rs. 56,200 per sq. ft. in terms of average pricing Privacy and premium amenities are also reasons behind the soaring prices in these costly neighbourhoods. There are multiple high-end residential projects in these locations which come with specialties such as herb gardens, organic cafes and organic vegetable gardens among others. Tardeo has witnessed new supply of more than 1,100 units over the last 7 years in the luxury real estate segment and the average unit size has been 1690 sq. ft.

  3. Worli and Mahalaxmi have witnessed supply levels cumulatively surpassing 9,600 units ever since the year 2013 as per reports. The built-up sizes of units in these locations vary between 1690-3500 sq. ft. on an average. Tardeo Road or Tardeo is one of South Mumbai’s most prime commercial and residential hubs with great connectivity and major self-sufficiency on account of the large number of fine-dining restaurants, star hotels, educational institutions and healthcare centres in the vicinity. While the middle classes struggle with more uncertain futures due to shrinking jobs and financial impediments, the rise of India’s super-rich has not been hampered and many of India’s HNIs buy property in locations such as Tardeo. Multiple global reports pegged the dollar millionaire count in India at 3.42 lakh people as of mid-2018. It’s not just in India; the rest of the world too has seen ultra-luxury housing categories bounce back from market fluctuations and slowdowns. Buyers in this category usually include a mixture of families which have held wealth over generations and those which have newly created wealth. These are buyers who emphasize on locations which are the most aspirational in the entire country.

These were people with net worth of approximately $6 trillion cumulatively. 5.26 lakh dollar millionaires will be minted by the year 2023 with cumulative worth touching $8.8 trillion as per forecasts. This will naturally boost the luxury real estate market going forward. Buyers in this category usually include a mixture of families which have held wealth over generations and those which have newly created wealth. These are buyers who emphasize on locations which are the most aspirational in the entire country.
