  3. Canaryseed Producers Take Note! Changes Coming to Canada • Saskatchewan has become the world’s leading producer in canaryseed, a crop that originated from the Canary Islands.   • Currently, canaryseed is sold as pet food, with a Canadian export market of over $134 million in 2008. Saskatchewan accounts for 90% of Canadian production.

  4. Farm Progress Show • Farmers like Todd Naber battle harsh conditions to grow some of the country’s best crops, and work hard to transport their quality products internationally.

  5. Crop Report for May 2016 Saskatchewan reports that as of May 2, 15% of seeding is complete. The average seeding completion at this point of the year is 5%.
