Groin hernia, also called inguinal hernia, is a medical condition wherein a fragile spot in the abdominal wall makes way for seepage of abdominal content that gets collected in inguinal canal region of the groin. Neither uncommon nor generally life threatening, groin hernia may lead to immense pain and discomfort for the patients. The condition may call for repair via surgery.

  3. Groin hernia surgery is one of the most common surgical procedures performed worldwide. Not all cases of groin hernia require surgery. The call for surgical procedure is taken by a team of doctors only after looking into the severity of symptoms, hernia’s size and general health of the patient.   6. Other than these techniques, groin hernia can be treated with laparoscopic repair too.
