Kate Sessions Park Kate Sessions Park has something for everyone. There is a toddler playground that is great for all your little ones, giving them the space to play without worrying about being trampled by the bigger kids. A playground set is also available for the bigger kids with equipment that is made for them. While you sit and watch your children play or run around with them, you can also take in the beautiful view of the mountains and the bay. Location: 5115 Soledad Rd, San Diego, CA 92109
Cottonwood Creek Park The next stop on our list of the best parks is Cottonwood Creek Park. Not only is there a great playground for the children to enjoy, but there is a rock climbing wall for the bigger kids to use as well. A creek runs through the park with bridges crossing over it. You can take the family for a walk across the bridges and down the walking trail that is available as well. The kids can take time to play in the play house or watch the water pump that brings water to a play structure. With everything there is to do, you can have hours of fun with your family. Location: 95 N Vulcan Ave, San Diego, CA 92024
Moonlight Beach Park Just down the street from Cottonwood Creek Park is Moonlight Beach Park. This park is located next to a gorgeous beach giving you the chance to play in the water as well as take some time for the kids to play on the swings, go down the slides, and hang out on the child-sized picnic table with their siblings or new found friends. Keeping the beach close will give you a relaxing feeling while watching your children and listening to the water nearby. If you visit in the summer months, you can also visit the snack shack and enjoy a snow cone to cool you off. Location: West end of Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas, CA
Kit Carson Park Kit Carson Park is the place to go when you are looking to make a day of it. There is so much to do and see, such as the playground, tot lot, three ponds, and hiking trails. One thing that sets this park apart from others is the Sankey Magical Gardens. This area is full of brightly colored sculptures making it a great area to explore.
