5. Computer Classes
Organic Social Capital building as a response to community need that has continued to this day

6. Noweyung Cooking Class
7. Community Lunch Community Lunch conducted on Thursdays is for all to come and enjoy. Tuesdays cooking class produces a heart warming pot of soup to share on Thursdays with BNH community.
8. Spin off from Groups The unique nature of Bairnsdale Neighbourhood House offers additional activities in an organic manner including packing of shelves, flattening boxes, packing food, office activities.
This provides opportunities for communication, interaction and skills development.
9. Music Program A volunteer, Nicole Barr, began working with Sharon 7 months ago as a support for Sharons work role. Nicole is a professional musician who has written a song in regard to Sharon.
This was in response to Nicoles interest in expanding and encouraging Sharons communication through her love of music, butterflies and stars.
It was the endeavor to begin communicating with Sharon through music and this song was written with the specific hope of reaching out to Sharon.
10. Work Related Experience Single volunteers with disabilities access various work related experiences including cleaning tasks, office skills etc.
In the past the Specialist school provided three work teams in the areas of horticulture, office reception and retail.
11. Partnerships and how they develop are very dependant on how approachable and flexible the players are involved.
We have been fortunate to have facilitators who are willing to go the extra mile without this dedication the programs on offer would not have been as fulfilling as they have been
