  1. Focus on important point while selecting KPIs When you would be selecting KPIs always focus on those that are important, rather than focusing on less important points. If you measure too many things, you are actually not measuring anything. Managers tend to add KPIs to the list, but rarely right size the list that will drive the strategic intent. This causes the confusion in selecting corporate performance indicator.

  2. Measure the growth and performance of business Make sure that selected KPI drives your business to the growth and not just measure the performance. KPIs should measure performance toward the strategic objectives that you have laid out as a part of your operation strategic plan. Achieving the success of the company majorly depends on these calculations. By using Key Performance Indicator software you can calculate correctly and also get an idea to find the solutions to the problems that would lead you towards growth.

  3. Relatable on all levels of the organization Make sure that KPI is relatable on all levels of the organization. It is not so difficult to remember that members of your production staff at all levels should be able to relate to the metrics. To give an example of a meaningful KPI can be a unit shipped per hours worked. If you aim to increase the production or reduce per unit, this can be the perfect KPI for that. Hence understand your aim and then decide what KPI you should measure.

  4. Select valid KPIs Select valid KPIs, before you seek any project improvement, we must ensure that our measuring system is valid. One must validate repeatability and reproducibility if our measuring system is valid.
