Cub Scout Advancement • Cub scouting is home and neighborhood centered. • Meetings are led by the Cubmaster and Committee • Bobcat • Tiger cub • Wolf • Bear • Webelos • Arrow of Light Testing is at a parent and den level.

Venturing Advancement - • Other Awards • Quest – Based on fitness and sports • Trust – Youth learn about themselves, their communities, and their religion and culture, as well as those of others. There are also awards for Ship Units, Posts, and Varsity Scouts.
Special Needs • There are advancement Programs for youth with special needs. If you have scouts in your unit that have special needs, consult with someone who can assist with advancement requirements and decisions. Some situations will need approval at the District or Council level.
Unit Record Keeping • Use Internet Advancement where ever possible; • Council Records can be matched against Unit records. • Good record keeping by the unit will prevent hurt feelings and frustration. • The Advancement Chair is usually the point of contact for the unit, and researches advancement issues.
