Why Do We Need This Training? Prevent injuries Reduce equipment loss Comply with NFPA 1403 Reduce liability and costs
Purpose • Certify personnel to be Live Fire Adjuncts with and be able to actively participate during Live Fire Training. • Improve our use of Thermal Imaging Cameras. • Refresher for already certified Adjuncts as some rules have changed since burn building put in place.
Rules • Complete classroom portion. • Shadow a certified Live Fire Instructor during Live Fire Training for ½ day session, in various positions.
Terminal Objective • All students will have an understanding and have the ability to implement NFPA 1403, Live Fire Guidelines, and proper use of several TIC’s.
Introduction • Situational Awareness and Safety • Different playing field when conducting live fire training with inexperienced personnel than when on the fire ground. • Same dangers just different rules.
