  3. Summary • Comprised of over 100 companies, the UWB Forum is committed to making Ultra-Wideband technology a reality. Dedicated to ensuring that standards-based Ultra-Wideband products from multiple vendors are truly interoperable, the Forum works closely to help facilitate worldwide regulatory approval process for Ultra-Wideband systems along with the market educational efforts for future customers of these technologies. Liaison Objectives • The UWB Forum is interested in industry and consensus standards as well as participating in the development of these standards, recommended practices and guidelines of the IEEE and related SDOs. • We are interested in 802.15.3, 802.15.4 and their siblings i.e., .3a and .4a PHY proposals and .3b and .4b too • We are also interested in 802.19 coexistence as well as 802.18 and regulatory issues that relate to worldwide UWB adoption. • We are developing Test and Qualification procedures include forum certification, forum compliance testing, forum endorsed software applications stacks and how these value added services are received by industry and more importantly our customers.
