  1. Paso Robles Wineries of Kazzit

  2. If you are ever taking the drive between Los Angeles and San Francisco, you will run across a beautiful part of the state called Paso Robles. It will immediately become clear that you are in wine country, as the vineyards stretch out across rolling hills for as far as the eye can see.

  3. The wineries in Paso Robles may not have the name power of those that you will find in Napa Valley, but make no mistake, this is still a part of California that is ripe for the exploring. With over 200 wineries in operation there, you certainly have plenty of different options to choose from.

  4. What you are not going to find much of with Paso Robles wineries are those big-name, mass-producing wine makers that you find in Napa. Instead, you will discover family-owned, boutique wineries and tasting rooms that are on the brink of being almost undiscovered and unexplored.

  5. There is something wonderful about stepping into a winery that you know nothing about, only to discover that they are creating wines that are among the best you have ever tasted. That is what you get when you visit Paso Robles and the award-winning wineries that are scattered throughout the area.

  6. With so many different wineries to choose from, it is almost imperative that you put together some sort of itinerary. There are numerous places where you can get a map that shows all the wineries and tasting rooms available to you, and we suggest that you select 5 or 6 spots to visit each day.

  7. That, of course, is if you are driving, as going to more than that can put you in a position where you are unfit to get behind the wheel. There are plenty of organized tours in Paso Robles, so if you really want to freely sample the wines of the area, we suggest going that route.

  8. What many people do in Paso Robles, and in other area where California wineries are common, is to put together an itinerary that is based on a specific varietal or a certain kind of winery. In Paso Robles, it is Bordeaux, Rhone, and Zinfandel varietals that are the most common. If one of those is your favorite, then you may want to put together a tour that focuses on wineries that excel in making the varietal that you enjoy most.

  9. The again, you may want to choose a tour that hits all the little hidden gems in Paso Robles, or maybe you have your dog with you, and you want wineries that are pet-friendly. Do a little research beforehand, and you can put together a tour of the wineries in Paso Robles that you won’t soon forget.

  10. With so many great places to explore, this is a part of California where you will want to stay awhile. There are plenty of accommodations to choose from that are as varied as the wineries in the area.

  11. There is everything from chain hotels to romantic bed and breakfast spots, and there are even plenty of RV parks if you are just passing through and want to stop off for a couple of days. For many, the latter is a great idea, as it means the stay in beautiful Paso Robles can be extended indefinitely.
