  2. Try Some New Sounds • Search online for music samples. There are millions of websites where you can get some new sound samples, and free virtual instruments. • Spend some days for collecting new sounds, Organize and test them out.

  3. Listen to Different Music Genres • Music comes in many different types and styles ranging from traditional rock music to world pop.   4. Switch Up Your Beats in Five Minutes Sometimes if I like any beat, I get stuck on that beat for 20 minutes or more. After 20 minutes it could be a beat that I hate. So try to make 5 to 6 beats, and only spend 5 minutes on each of them. For each one of your beats, try a different sounds, and different drum patterns.

  5. Write Lyrics First Try to start with the lyrics first, Whether you are a rapper, singer, or producer. If you have lyrics created, it can help to set a tone and feeling of your beat.  Maybe try writing lyrics to someone else’s instrumental and see if it helps to lay down a good foundation.

  6. Learn to Play Musical Instruments This is one of the most beneficial things that you can do as a music producer. But it’s probably the hardest thing on this list to do.  It will require time and patience.
