How to improve your personal development skills • You can improve your development skills by getting training from someone or learning from people around you and by gaining new talents. There are some ways to develop your personality:
1. Overcome your fears • Fears can prevent from going on and participating in different activities. If you are afraid of speaking in front of gatherings then take classes or join a group of people to overcome this fear. If you are afraid of taking risks and start new things then find a trainer who ca help you in being comfortable in different situations. If you are shy try to make conversations with many people or new people.
2. Read • Reading books or blogs can expand our knowledge and way of thinking. It increases our vocabulary that enables us to be confident when talking to people. Make your routine to read at least one book or novel every day.
3. Learn something new • Learning never ends, so one must continue learning from books, classes, online blogs etc. You might, for instance, take courses to learn another language, a new software program or how to write creatively.
4. Ask for feedback • Ask a family members or your friends to give you feedback by presenting anything in front of them or by any last task or project you have done. Take their positive reviews while try to improve on their negative reviews.
5. Observe others • Look at the people near you or family members and choose the person who inspire you and try to get their skills and learn the thing that make them special and then try to replicate those things in you.
6. Network • By interacting with different people of different communities you can learn different ideas and how to communicate and work with different type of people. You can also create good relationships with new people and that can help you in future.
7. Keep a journal • Writing in a journal every day or week can help you gain self-awareness and reflect on recent events, decisions and conversations. Use these to set goals in life.
8. Meditate • Many people do mediation to get relax and reduce stress and anxiety. Mediation can help you to focus on your goals and self-development. Also scheduling some time from work and have some relaxing mind can help you focus on your goals.
9. Get a Mentor • If you need help in identifying your skills and how to improve them then you must have to talk to someone who you can make your mentor. This individual could be any manager, professor or a successful person that you can trust on.
