MAKING THE DECISION TO PURSUE BETTER HEARING IS A SIGNIFICANT STEP

Step One: Consultation YOU WILL MEET WITH AN AUDIOLOGIST OR HEARING INSTRUMENT SPECIALIST WHO WILL CONDUCT THE FOLLOWING: • Interview you to discuss your hearing • Review situations where you may experience hearing difficulties • Examine each ear • Complete hearing evaluation
Step Two: Recommendation FOLLOWING THE CONSULTATION, THE AUDIOLOGIST WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH RECOMMENDATIONS. THEIR SUGGESTIONS WILL TAKE THE FOLLOWING INTO ACCOUNT: • Your hearingevaluation results • Your lifestyle • Your hearing aid style and technology preference
Step Three: Hearing Aid Order IF YOU DECIDE TO PROCEED WITH HEARING AIDS: • Impressions of your ears willbe taken • A fitting appointment will be scheduled within two weeks of the hearing aid order
Step Four: Hearing Aid Fitting AT YOUR HEARING AID FITTING, THE AUDIOLOGIST WILL GO THROUGH THE FOLLOWING: • Check overall comfort and cosmetics of the hearing aids • Set the hearing aids to a comfortable volume and verify sound quality • Instruct you on use and care of your hearing aids • Discuss a hearing aid use schedule toget you started • A hearing aid fitting follow-up appointment with the audiologist or hearing instrument specialist will be booked at this time.
Step Five: Follow-up Appointment YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS THE FOLLOWING WITH THE AUDIOLOGIST : • Your experience with the hearing aids in different listening situations • Whether your objectives with the hearing aids have been met • The audiologist or hearing instrument specialist will fine tune the hearing aids to improve your hearing aid experience, if required • The audiologist or hearing instrument specialist will provide education and counseling, if required • Future service will be provided as required to ensure the hearing aids continue to meet your goals and objectives
