UGC NET vs CSIR NET What are the differences?
UGC NET Exam University Grants Commission is statutory organization that was established by the Indian Government in the year 1956 with an aim to provide recognition to the Indian Universities. UGC also provide funds to the recognized and reputed universities and colleges. Till July 2018 UGC NET Exam was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, but from the December session onwards the exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NTA will hold the exam on the behalf the University Grants Commission to select candidates for the post of Lectured and provide the candidates with the JRF Scholarship. UGC NET Exam is conducted in Streams like Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce etc.
UGC NET Exam Pattern 2018 • As per the recent UGC NET Notification, the exam pattern for UGC NETExam has been changed. The updated pattern is as below- • Paper 1: • Number of questions – 50 • Marks – 100 • Duration – 1 hour • Paper 2: • Number of questions – 100 • Marks – 200 • Duration – 2 hours
Eligibility for Appearing in UGC NET Exam The candidates who are interested in appearing for UGC NET Exam must have completed their post-graduation or Ph.D. in the relevant subjects with not less than 55 percent marks.
CSIR NET Exam The exam is conducted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). CSIR is a famous R&D organization and is one of the largest R&D organization. CSIR NET Exam is a national level entrance examination in the field of Science that includes Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences (Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences) and Mathematical Sciences.
CSIR NET Exam Pattern 2018 CSIR NET exam is conducted in three parts, i.e. Part A, Part B, and Part C. Part A is common for all. The update exam pattern for all the subjects are as given as follows.
