  1. Introduce Your Dog Introduce Your Dog to to a a New Dog Bed New Dog Bed Dogs are territorial animals. This is why they find it hard to adjust to the new bed you have just bought even though you know you are doing them a favor. You need to find a way to make them adjust by getting them to be familiar with the new bed. Don’t get yourself frustrated; here is how to introduce your dog to a new bed the easy way. Make It Familiar The main reason why your dog may not be feeling great about the new bed is the smell. Dogs are very good with smell and may think the new bed is not theirs or may feel very uncomfortable sleeping there. One way to make them familiar with the new designer dog bedto rub your hands or feet on it or lay an old blanket on it, so they get to pick the smell and get interested.

  2. Throw In Treats and Toys Dogs like treats and toys. To make them sleep in their new bed, find a way to incorporate their desires into the process of making the bed comfortable to sleep in. Start with the toys. If the toys don’t work then move on to treats using their favorites. You need to get your dog familiar with the new bed, the best way possible.

  3. Have the Old Bed Around Some people might tell you to get rid of the old bed if you want your dog to use the new bed. This mostly doesn’t work because dogs are very sensitive and would know. Use the old bed trick. Place a sheet over the old bed and allow your dog to sleep in it. Remove the old bed from under the sheet and replace it with the new bed, covering it entirely and disguising it like the old bed. Once the dog starts sleeping in it, gently fold the sheet gradually until you remove the entire sheet and your dog is sleeping in the new bed. Move the Bed to a Place They Are Familiar With If your dog won’t sleep in the new bed you just bought, try removing the bed and putting it in another location. The new area must be a place where they like to nap. Once they accept the bed in the new position, reward them and make them feel they have achieved something great. Make Sure the New Bed Is Comfortable If you’re introducing your dog to a new designer dog bed, make sure it feels better than the old one. Like kids, dogs like to be pampered, and they want to enjoy. Putting the dog in the new bed will be more comfortable if it provides more benefits and comfort compared to the old one.

  4. Dogs can find it hard to accept their new bed. The strategy to make them accept the new bed is very simple, so you don't have to sweat at all. The best ideas include placing a familiar cloth, rubbing your hands and feet on the bed, or changing the location; one of these must work.
