  2. Create a schedule for your house chores such as laundry, cleaning • Find a good child care or a good nanny for your kids in order to meet the child’s need when you are not around. It is always to choose a reliable and trustable child care centre which will also ensure your child security. • Place a week’s meal ahead- this will help you to avoid last minute grocery shopping and helps you to stay organized.

  3. Continue… • Organize a family calendar for special events such as birthdays, kids extra curricular activities- Kids should never feel neglected from their working mom. Therefore, it’s very important to celebrate special occasions, play with kids and have fun when ever you can. • Maintain good communication with your employer- It is essential to get in touch with your employer and seek support in times of maternity leave. Discuss your commitments with your employer and make your work flexible

  4. Try to stay connected with your children even when you are not together- Make calls during your break hours. Keep a track of your kids using other smart devices such as Kids GPS tracker such as Trackiex. • Avoid multi tasking when you are with your children and partner

  5. Continue… • Know your distractions/ time wasters and limit those- The major time wasters are gossiping, television, and weekly partying. Try to limit television time to a week for a family gathering. Simply know what your priorities are and act accordingly. • Don’t forget to have your time for personal needs- Remember, in order to play an active role in work life balance, you need to be physically and mentally prepared. Allocate time for pampering yourself when ever you can. Engage in fitness, yoga or spend a day in a spa. Remember you need to take care of yourself too.
