Nepal Everest Base Camp: An Adventure That Will Take Your Breath Away It was the final day of ascent on the Everest Base Camp trek. The 5 am wake-up call marked the start of our 8th day of trekking, where the swift knock on the door and resounding tones of “mooooorning” signaled the beginning of another long and strenuous day. This point each day started feeling like a monotonous and relentless struggle. Except this was the day where, in spite of extreme exhaustion, braving bitterly cold conditions, and weakness from appetite loss, we all managed to find the adequate energy to pull ourselves through the last leg of our trek to get to Everest Base Camp.
Mt Everest and several other peaks The world’s highest peak “Mt Everest” lies in this region. You will not be climbing the highest peak when you are on the base camp trek, however, you will be experiencing the panoramic view of the mountain closely. There are also many other different peaks in this region. While on the way you will be greeted with Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyo, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Lhotse Shar. For those who prefer visiting the mountains, EBC is worth trekking.
Prayer Flags If you are on an EBC trek, prayer flags are the most common thing one will find the most on his/her way. These are the rectangular made flags of clothes where prayers are engraved. The view of the magnificent mountains with prayer flags is just astounding to watch. You will love the way it is made and hung up looking bright and colorful.
